Infusing elements from Moombahton, Dubstep, Drum and Bass and evenHardstyle, the Trap music is a very new genre of electronic dance music. It gained popularity in 2012, with producers like Diplo, Baauer, Flosstradamus and Dillon Francis supporting this genre. The "electronic" trap as we know is derivated from the Hip-hop trap genre, which, in turn, originated in the early 2000's from Southern hip-hop and crunk music.
